This tables takes inspiration from the stacked feathers of bird wings. It gives flexible elegance to any room; a small game night for 4 or a beautiful meal for 8.
A few times a year, I work with clients to design and build their perfect kitchen. I like to take my time with these in order to find the right solution for every way that a kitchen is used. Every kitchen is very personal.
A summer in the Catskills is not complete without mountain laurels. I love their wild beauty in the forest. I decided to hand paint a large on this solid cherry table I designed as a refined riff on the tried-and-true picnic table. It is very rigid, and because the legs are set under the table, people can sit in any configuration around it without bumping thier legs.
At once classic and original, I designed the Workshop chair as a stylish option for the dining room or cafe space. Light weight and strong, this chair adds a welcoming, light-hearted presence to any room. It can come in an infinite combination of woods and colors.
I like to make dressers. My clients have enjoyed choosing the colors and sizes that work perfectly in their space.

These shelves were designed for use as a library-bar cabinet-game storage-reading nook. The client wanted the space to encompass many aspects of their full, creative life. They loved this solution. I think this would work in any home or office.
Secondly, there are some black walnut shelving units I designed for a home office.
This table was made for a client who wanted a table that could sit 8 to 10 extra people but could be stored away easily in an UWS apartment. Based on a mid-century modern design and made with black walnut from Ulster County.
This is a small tea cabinet designed for Birch Spa in Kingston, NY
All of my design is done with pencil and paper. I love the direct process and I work more instinctually. I think it’s important to work this way to ensure an artistic, hand-made, perfect-imperfect quality that is hard to achieve with digital design.
I have designed and built the cabinetry for Village Coffee and Village Grocery in KIngston, NY, Fruition Chocolate’s cafe in Shokan, NY, and, just before the pandemic, the tables and bread display for Kingston Bread and Bar. Not pictured, I did all the woodwork inside Radio Kingston new station, also in Kingston, NY.
These stool were designed to go with the Finch kitchen island. The seats are all cut from a single slab of uniquely colored soft maple.
This record player credenza was made from locally hewn black walnut that a sliced into 1/8” veneer in order to gain stability for the sliding doors and to make a little go a long way.

Every home needs a half hull. I am a sailor and went to school for traditional wooden boat building. I think these looks great everywhere.
I have made many different tables. Pictured here are few coffee tables; the navy blue and pink ones. There are few hallway/ entryway tables; the oak and green one and the one with just two legs, which are hung on the wall.
I always love variety. These are few projects from the past 5 years that show the wide range of design challenges I take on, from entryway storage solutions, to art-centric cabinets, shelves, a scribe bench, or a bed where a toddler can sleep in the clouds.
